Do you have a studio location?
Yes! Salon Zhenya is located at address is 290 Haywood Road Unit 102, Asheville, NC 28806 (West Asheville)
Is the hair trial in the studio or on-site?
Either! Depending on your comfort and convenience, I am happy to schedule a trial for you in the studio or on-site. The hair trial is an additional fee and not included in the bridal hairstyling fee.
What is included in the trial?
Each service includes a consultation, hairstyling and photographs to ensure you are pleased and feel confident with your final look.
When should I schedule my trial?
My professional recommendation is to schedule the trial as soon as possible to ensure you and I vibe. I work on my regular clients in the salon throughout the week, so availability may be limited since my clients prebook their appointments. For a date that works for you, scheduled sooner than later.
What should I bring to the trial?
● Inspiration: photos and/or Pinterest board.
● Hair accessories: hair extensions, veil, flowers, combs (preferably metal) and/or jewelry.
● A loved one: someone who knows you and opinion you trust.
What if my hair doesn’t hold curl?
Thankfully, products have advanced to help secure your curls. I recommend a hair trial to assess if extensions would be sufficient to aide in curl retention or substitute curls for an up-do. In most cases, extensions and/or hair products work miracles.
Do I need extensions?
It will depend on the desired hairstyle and the texture of your hair. If extensions are recommended and/or required to replicate your dream look, I will inform you. I could order the extensions for you, or I would be happy to refer you to a local business. The cost of the extensions is in addition to the fees listed above.
What type of extensions would I need?
Depending on the style you select, the type of extensions will vary from glue-in wefts, to tape-in, to clip-in or to a halo. I would be happy to discuss extensions in further detail at the trial (a separate fee from the day of hairstyling).
How much do the extensions cost?
Extension prices start from $25 for a weft up to $400 for a halo. Together, we can discuss the best option to achieve your dream style to fit your budget.
What if I already have extensions?
Perfect! One less step for me.
How long is each service?
Bridal hair: an hour and a half
Bridal makeup: an hour and a half
Bridal party hair: forty-five minutes
Bridal party makeup: forty-five minutes to an hour
Do you really need a full hour and a half for my services?
No, but in my experience, you will NOT have a full uninterrupted hour to complete your service. The extra half hour is to allow time to pause for hugs and answering questions without feeling the pressure of being rushed.
How dirty should my hair be?
The most ideal is to wash and blow-dry your hair with a styling product (eg. Gel, mousse, etc.) the day before my arrival. Hair cooperates best with one night oil production. If you wash your hair daily due to oiliness, I recommend a blowout as your style, which can be included in the service.
What if I have a large party and need more stylists?
I can reserve additional stylists to complete your bridal party’s services within your allotted time frame. Once an additional stylist or stylists is reserved to complete the requested services, you will be responsible to compensate for the stylist or stylists. An additional $100 fee will be added to reserve a second stylist on location.
Is there a price difference for short hair?
No. Similarly to long hair, short hair requires an equivalent amount of time and attention to detail.
Do you have a minimum requirement?
A minimum of $1,000 is required to reserve beauty services for your day. If you are the only one requiring my skills for hair, makeup, or hair and makeup, your total fee for the agreed upon services will be $1,000. The retaining fee will be credited to your contracted services.
May I make changes to the service agreement?
Due to time constraints, the agreed number of individuals requesting services in the service agreement must remain the same as the day of the event. If a second stylist is reserved for the day, you will be responsible to compensate the stylist/s for the number of services requested in the service agreement.
What if I have an early start time?
An additional fee of $100 per hour per stylist before 9 AM start time will be added to the final fee to accommodate an early start.
What is required to reserve your services for my date?
A non-refundable retaining fee of $500 and a signed, completed service agreement is required to reserve the requested date. The date will not be reserved until both actions are completed!
What form of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, Venmo, square cash and all major credit cards. Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.
*We do not accept checks.
When do I pay you for the agreed upon services?
A final Invoice for the balance will be automatically sent a week prior to the Service Date, and the final balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 24 hours after the Invoice is sent. You understand and agree that the card on file will be charged for the remaining balance as shown on the final Invoice.
*Customarily, brides collect payments from individuals requiring services to finalize the payment.
